Terms
Updated October 30, 2026
These are the terms of sale for the Seawall app: the signed, notarized build you buy at seawall.work. We’ve tried to keep them short and plain.
Who sells it
Seawall is made by Nikita Verba. Payments are handled by Creem, which acts as the merchant of record: it takes your payment, handles VAT and other taxes, and sends your receipt. Your receipt will name Creem as the seller. Creem’s buyer terms apply to the payment, and if they ever differ from these terms, theirs come first.
What you get
- A license to use the signed, notarized Seawall app.
- A license key by email, for up to 3 Macs that you use.
- Every 1.x update, delivered through the app’s built-in updater.
- Support by email.
It’s a one-time purchase. There’s no subscription, and a 1.x license doesn’t expire. A later major version, 2.0 or newer, may be sold separately.
The source code is free
The Seawall source code is open under the GNU General Public License v3.0. Nothing here takes away any right the GPLv3 gives you. You can read the code, build it, change it and share it under that license, whether or not you’ve bought the app.
What you’re paying for is the official build, its license key and updates, and support. The GPLv3 doesn’t cover the Seawall name and app icon, so if you publish a fork, please give it its own name and icon.
Your license key
- It’s yours, for up to 3 Macs. To move to a new Mac, write to us and we’ll free up a slot.
- Please don’t post it or share it beyond your own Macs. We can switch off a key that’s been shared widely, or that was refunded or charged back.
Refunds
You can ask for your money back within 30 days of buying, for any reason. See the refund policy.
What Seawall can and can’t do
Seawall stops an impulse, not a determined person. Someone with admin rights and a few minutes can get around it, for example by removing its login item or editing its files. It works with apps we don’t control, like Safari and Chrome, and a change in them or in macOS can stop it from seeing tabs until an update fixes it.
No warranty
Like the source code, the app comes as it is, without a warranty, as far as the law allows. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the price you paid. None of this limits rights you have by law as a consumer.
Your data
Your lists and history stay on your Mac. The privacy page has the details, including what we get when you buy.
Changes
We may update these terms. A change applies to purchases made after it, and what you bought stays under the terms you bought it under.
